Ours just happens to include a Great Dane.
Harlee wasn't originally intended to become a company mascot. She was simply part of the family.
As Overhead Door Systems grew, so did our desire to include the things that mattered most to us in the business. Harlee was always by our side, but anyone who has owned a Great Dane knows they aren't exactly the easiest travel companions. Taking her along for the ride, to jobsites and customer visits, wasn't practical. But we still wanted her to be part of our journey.
So we did the next best thing.
We put Harlee on the back of our company shirts.
At the time, it seemed like a simple way to carry a piece of home with us wherever work took us. We never imagined that a silhouette of our beloved Great Dane would become one of the most recognizable parts of the OHDS brand.
Before long, customers, contractors, and jobsite personnel began looking for the shirts. People would spot our crews from across a facility and immediately know OHDS was onsite. In an industry where most companies blend together, Harlee helped us stand out in a way we never expected.
What started as a tribute to a family pet became a conversation starter, a relationship builder, and one of the most distinctive symbols of our company. Over the years, countless people have asked us the same question:
"How can I get one of those Harlee shirts?"
The demand became so common that we started carrying a few extra shirts on our service trucks. To this day, you'll find us handing out Harlee shirts to customers, facility personnel, and friends we've met along the way.
While our reputation is built on technical expertise, quality workmanship, and trusted relationships, Harlee reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously. She represents the family values, loyalty, and genuine connections that have helped shape Overhead Door Systems since the beginning.
Today, long after those first shirts were printed, Harlee remains the heart of our brand and a beloved part of the OHDS story.
